Josh Stinson is the only thing that stood between the Mets and victory tonight. Stinson, going for a 2 inning save, walked 3 and had an error committed behind him in the 9th, taking the loss, though the actual BS went to Stephen Clyne, who allowed all 3 of Stinson's IHR to score.

The rough 9th ruined what was going to be the story, the continued white hot hitting of Kirk Nieuwenhuis, who ended a homer shy of the cycle, and registered 4 hits on the day. Overall the Mets had 12 hits and 2 walks on the day, while going 4 for 13 (.308) with RISP, and leaving 9 on base.
