EL AA: Binghamton 7/10/0, Reading 5/6/2

Brad Holt had an uneven outing, with 4 good innings to start, and then 1.1 rough ones to end, Holt ended up allowing 5 runs on 5 hits and 3 walks in 5.1 innings, good enough for his 3rd win of the season (in Binghamton). The bullpen followed with 3.2 scoreless in relief, with Connor Robertson picking up his 10th EL save.

The Mets offense had 10 hits and drew 5 walks, while going a stellar 4 for 14 (.286) with RISP, leaving 9 on base. Josh Thole (2), and Jose Coronado (2), had the only multi hit games for the Mets, no regular took an 0-fer. Coronado is hitting .417 over his last 6 games (10 for 24). FSL A+: St. Lucie 5/6/0, Jupiter 3/6/2

Billy Wagner may have thrown his final rehab inning tonight, reportedly he will be activated on Sunday from his rehab. Tonight he fired another scoreless inning with 2 more strikeouts, in back of Scott Moviel.

Scott Moviel had his best FSL outing of the season (some, like me, would contend it was his first good one), giving up just a run on 2 hits in 6 innings for his first win. Josh Stinson worked the final 1.1 innings for his 3rd save.

The Mets offense parlayed 6 hits and 4 walks into 5 runs, despite going just 1 for 7 (.149) with RISP, and leaving 8 on base. Reese Havens (0 for 4, RBI (38), .225)), Kirk Nieuwenhuis (0 for 4, .249), Seth Williams (0 for 3, run, K, .262), and Luis Rivera (0 for 1, RBI, 2 BBs, .125) all took 0-fers, while Stefan Welch (2) had the lone multi hit game for the Mets.
