Ruddy Lugo got BOMBED in 6 innings, allowing 5 runs and 3 homers, but the Zs bullpen put up 4 innings of 1 run ball, and the offense scored 2 in the 10th after Tim McNab allowed 1, leading to the dramatic victory. The top 4 guys in the Zs order had multi hit games, and good thing, too, the bottom half was putrid. Ahern, Argenis Reyes, Michel Abreu and Caleb Stewart combined to go 9 for 20 with 7 runs scored, 3b, HR, 5 RBI. Stewart's 2 run walk off triple decided it.

Across the board, pitching was the issue today for the BMets, from Bobby Parnell (4 earned in 4.2), to Joe Hietpas, Eddie Camacho and Nick Abel (6 runs, 5 earned in 3.1). Parnell was absolutely off his game today, walking 6, and in all, Met pitching walked 10. Offensively, Fernando, Murphy and Evans had big days, between them going 8 for 14 with 4 runs, 3b, HR, 6 RBI, a walk and 4 Ks.

Unlike Binghamton, St. Lucie couldn't keep hitting after yesterday's explosion, getting 6 hit. Ruben Tejada had his second straight multi-hit game, but 4 players took 0-fers (Duda, Maldonado, McCraw and Michael Hernandez (a recent signee, with decent pop but a bad eye)). Dillon Gee couldn't hold up the back end of Dolla Dolla Dills Yall, giving up 7 runs, 6 earned, in just 3 innings.

Josh Stinson had a rough first start, lasting just 4 innings, while giving up 8 hits and 5 earned. John Holdzkom, the fireballing and fiery tempered Napolean Dynomite lookalike, had massive wildness issues, walking 5 of 7 batters to face him. Offensively, Richard Lucas and Raul Reyes had multi hit games, but Francisco Pena took an 0-fer, along with Darren Clark and Dan Stegall.
