4/13 Minor League Report! Tejada, Duda, Maldonado, Lucas, Jimenez, ABRUZZO

New Orleans 7, Round Rock 5, in 11 innings

Adam Bostick had a rough outing, surrendering 3 runs in 5 innings on 4 hits and 4 walks, But the Zs overcame that to take a 5-4 lead into the bottom of the 8th, when Tim McNab blew the lead, sending the game to extras. Willie Collazo pitched a scoreless 10th for the win, and Nate Field picked up his 2nd save with a scoreless 11th. Offensively, Michel Abreu, Chris Aguila, Anderson Machado and Gustavo Molina had multi-hit games, while AHern and Caleb Stewart took 0-fers.

St. Lucie scored 6 in the 2nd, and that would be all they'd need, rolling to a 6-2 victory. The 2-3-4 hitters (Tejada, Duda, Maldonado) each went 2 for 4, and drove in 4, pacing the attack. On the mound, Tim Stronach had a good first start, delivering 5 scoreless and striking out 6. Matias Carrillo had 2 innings of good relief, and one of bad, with Ryan Coultas finishing things off.

Savannah 11, Columbus 7

Binghamton was snowed out, so the runs came south. Savannah with 9 in the 7th and 8th innings, overcame a 7-2 deficit and won going away, 11-7. Jose Jimenez had a pair of homers in 2 big innings, he drove in 5. The top 4 players in the Savannah lineup (Bouchard, Lucas, Jimenez, Reyes) each had 2 hits, and went 8 for 18 with 3 2b, 3b, 2 HR, 10 RBI. Jordan Abruzzo, the backup catcher, had 3 hits, and Dan Stegall had 2. Angel Calero got rocked for 6 runs, 5 earned, over 5 innings, he allowed 8 hits, while striking out 3 and not walking anyone.
