  1. This isn't really a report you would be better of changing the format to the way Zakarin does at metsblog

  2. Umm, well all Zakarin does is put the box score into words...he doesn't actually go in depth on anything. Why would you want less stats(Tej's reports give the stats of multiple players) and just more words?
Our reports make it so that people can see the important prospects' stats of all the teams without having to go to multiple minor league sites...
Zakarin gives the stats on 1 or 2 players per team, and only the stats of good production, we report on players who are struggling too.

How is Zakarin's more of a "report"?

  3. Besides, who wants to read words in a boxscore?

3 for 5, 2b, HR, 3 RBI, 2 SBs, CS, .340 is so much easier then...He went 3 for 5 today with a double, homer, 3 RBI, along with 2 stolen bases, and a caught stealing. He's now batting .340 on the season.

  4. I recall you guys put box scores up at one point last year. Why did you move back to this format? The box score lets me review for the information I'm looking for. If you don't include, say, Jose Coronado, I feel like I need to look up the boxscore anyway to see if he played or why he wasn't included here. I love this site, but I don't recall if I read why the boxscore concept was abandoned. Thanks.

  5. The boxscores from milb.com?
I usually did that when I was the one doing the MLR's. I guess when I do it instead of Tej every once in a while I'll do the boxscore format, but yeah I guess this is just how Tej likes to do it.

cause I can get all of this from the gameday and an opinion or some kind of words would be better than this. You should have put minor league report! Lugo! he was a beast yesteday

  7. Opinions/commentary on the results I can do, and will do so from now on. I just wish someone had brought this up at some point last year, so I could do a trial during the winter.

  8. The written out format is just my thing - it's how I've done it for close to 3 years now. I include most of the top prospects/guys who are intriguing.

This is true, but I think others should find it more convenient not having to open up all the gamedays to see the boxscores. Some people check our blog at night before they get off the computer or in the morning before school/work just to check up on what our prospects did, its much easier than opening up 5 different minor league pages.'

We'll try to integrate more scouting/opinions into the site, but what we know is limited this early into the season on how players are improving, etc.

I agree, Lugo should have been in the headline. Brain fart by Tej.
