St. Lucie fell behind early and couldn't make it over the hump, eventually losing 6-4. Dillon Gee gave up 4 runs in his 6 innings of work, 3 of them coming in the first. His final line (6 ip, 7 h, 4 er) was ugly, a mirror of his so far ugly season (0-2, 6.16).

Ruben Tejada snapped a 14 game hitting streak by going 0 for 5 with a K, dropping his average 18 points. In addition to Tejada, 2 others took 0-fers, Josh Thole (0 for 4, RBI, .222) and Jason Jacobs (0 for 3, run, 2 Ks, .278).
