The Zs put up 2 spots in the 2nd, 4th and 8th innings en route to a 6-2 victory, running their record to 11-8. Victor Mendez was the only Z with more then 1 hit, and 4 players, Anderson Machado (0 for 1, .194), Michel Abreu (0 for 5, 2 Ks, .257), Fernando Tatis (0 for 3, run, 2 BBs, 3 Ks, .238) and Chris Aguila (0 for 4, run, BB, 2 Ks, .317) took 0-fers. Joselo Diaz had another good outing tonight, going 7 innings, allowing 2 runs on 2 hits (including a homer), while walking 3 and striking out 7. He ran his ERA down to 2.96, while picking up his first victory of the season (1-2).

After a few nights off, the Trinity returned with 2 hits apiece, combining for a 6 for 13 night, with 2 runs and 4 RBI. Fernando Martinez and Emmanuel Garcia also had multi hit games for the BMets, who overcame another rough outing from Bobby Parnell, and climbed back to .500 at 9-9. 3 BMets, Jose Coronado (0 for 2, BB, K, .323, Saloman Manriquez (0 for 4, .216) and Ambiorix Concepcion (0 for 4, 2 Ks, .265) took 0-fers.

St. Lucie fell behind early and couldn't make it over the hump, eventually losing 6-4. Dillon Gee gave up 4 runs in his 6 innings of work, 3 of them coming in the first. His final line (6 ip, 7 h, 4 er) was ugly, a mirror of his so far ugly season (0-2, 6.16).
Ruben Tejada snapped a 14 game hitting streak by going 0 for 5 with a K, dropping his average 18 points. In addition to Tejada, 2 others took 0-fers, Josh Thole (0 for 4, RBI, .222) and Jason Jacobs (0 for 3, run, 2 Ks, .278). Brahiam Maldonado and Luis River had 2 hits apiece for the Mets, who fell to a woeful 2-16.
