New Orleans led throughout, although they did withstand many rallies by the Express. Nelson Figueroa went 8 innings in consecutive starts, this time giving up 3 runs on 8 hits, striking out 7, for his 2nd win.
Chris Aguila is en fuego right now, with back to back 3 hit+ 2 homer games (7 for his last 9 with 4 homers and 6 RBI), he, Valentino Pascucci and Jesus Feliciano went 9 for 14 in the middle of the Zs lineup with 6 runs and 4 RBI. Mike Nickeas and Abraham Nunez also had multi hit games for the Zs, who moved to 27-30. Anderson Hernandez (0 for 4, BB, K, .181) and Michel Abreu (0 for 3, 2 BBs, .230) took 0-fers.

It was a back and forth game in the first few innings, with both teams scoring in the first 2 innings, Connecticut held a 4-3 lead after 2. It was 5-3 after 5 when the Mets put up a 3 run 6th, and that would be all for the scoring. Every starter had a hit, while Eric Reed, Mike Carp and Saloman Manriquez had multi hit games for the Mets, who moved to 2 over .500 at 29-27.
Jose Sanchez started and was not effective, giving up 5 runs on 8 hits and 3 walks in 5 innings, but nonetheless picking up a cheap win, his 5th. Eddie Camacho worked 3 scoreless innings in middle relief, while Eddie Kunz pitched a perfect 9th for his 13th save.

Very tough luck loss for Eric Niesen, who only allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 6 innings, but nonetheless was charged with his 6th loss of the season, as his team only backed him with a double and 4 singles.
Joe Holden made his return to the lineup after missing almost 2 months, going 2 for 4. Pornstache, Josh Thole and Peeter Ramos had the other hits, with Ramos' being the 2b.

It was a back and forth game in the middle innings, with one team or another scoring in innings 3 through 7, Augusta gained the upper hand with a 3 run 7th off Michael Antonini and John Stinson, holding on for a 7-6 win. Joaquin Rodriguez had the only multl hit game for the Gnats, while Carlos Guzman (0 for 4, K, .222) took the only 0-fer. The Gnats are now 24-32.
Antonini started and had a miserable outing, giving up 8 hits and all 7 runs (5 earned) over 6.1 innings. Josh Stinson, however, allowed Antonini's IHR to score, which ended up proving costly.
