New Orleans 3, Oklahoma 2 in 10 innings
Not the longest game tonight in the system. Figgy started and was good for a 3rd straight start, giving up 2 hits and 2 runs over 7 innings, but got a tough ND. Ivan Maldonado, who after a disasterous April has kicked it into gear, worked 2 scoreless innings, and new signee Brandon Knight pitched a scoreless 10th for the win.
The Zs offense was not good tonight, managing just 7 hits and 2 runs of their own until the 10th, when they got 3 walks and an error. Anderson Hernandez (0 for 4, BB, 2 Ks, .186), Pornstache (0 for 5, RBI, 2 Ks, .000), and Chris Aguila (0 for 4, 2 Ks, .292) took 0-fers, while Mike Nickeas had the only multi-hit game for the Zs.

Jose Sanchez and 2 relievers combined to shutout the Rockcats today, and Nick Evans hit a 2 run homer, providing all the offense the Mets would need. Sanchez went 6, allowing 6 runs and striking out 9. Eddie Camacho and Tim LaVigne finished it off.

A very tough luck loss for the Mets and Tobi Stoner today, as he and Philles prospect Tyler Brummett hooked up in a pitchers duel. Brummett came out the winner, but Tobi Stoner had yet another outstanding start, going 6 innings, allowing just a run on 6 hits (a solo homer), lowering his ERA to 2.60. Stephen Clyne and Edgar Alfonzo kept it right there with 2 scoreless innings of relief, but the offense managaed very little, just 2 singles and a double.

Savannah 5, Charleston 4 in 13 innings
Off the top of my head, I believe this is the longest game of the minor league season in the system. The balance of the scoring occured in the middle innings, with innings 1-3 and 7-12 all zeroes across. Maikel Cleto started and did not have a good start, going 5.2 innings, allowing 7 hits and 4 runs (3 earned). Josh Stinson allowed one of Cleto's 2 IHR to score, but was unscored upon himself in 2.1 innings, Julio Polanco followed with a stellar outing in long relief, going 4.1 innings allowing just 2 hits, and Brant Rustich got the final 2 outs in the 13th, picking up his first win.
All 5 of the Gnats runs were unearned due to 3 Charleston errors. Greg Veloz, Casey Craig, and Matt Bouchard had multi hit games, and every regular had at least one hit, except Richard Pena who went 0 for 6, dropping his average 8 points.
Greg Veloz (2b) 2 for 6, BB, 2 Ks, .255
Casey Craig (lf) 2 for 7, RBI, K, .328
Jordan Abruzzo (dh) 1 for 6, 2b, 2 Ks, .303
Jose Jimenez (1b) 1 for 5, run, 3b, BB, 3 Ks, .242
Francisco Pena (c) 1 for 4, run, 2b, 2 BBs, K, .255
Carlos Guzman (rf) 1 for 5, run, 2b, RBI, BB, 3 Ks, .200
Jacob Elgsti (3b) 1 for 6, run, 3 Ks, .243
Matt Bouchard (ss) 2 for 5, BB, K, .219
Maikel Cleto 5.2 IP, 7 H, 4 R, 3 ER, BB, 5 Ks, HR, 3.82 era, 7:5:7
Josh Stinson 2.1 IP, 2 H, K, 3.58 era, BS (2), 5:1:1
Julio Polanco 4.1 IP, 2 H, 6 Ks, 5.91 era, 4:3:6
Brant Rustich 0.2 IP, K, 5.40 era, W (1-1), 0:1:1

How long will the Mets continue to let Stoner suffer at the hands of the pathetic St Lucie hitters? Is a move to Binghamton close?
