Was there ANY doubt I was gonna do something like that?

New Orleans 3, Round Rock 2

The Zs continued from last night, putting up 3 in the first on 4 hits, but that would be all the offense they'd muster, enough for the win. Binghamton 3, Harrisburg 8 in 6.5 innings (rain)

Awful outing for Eric Brown today, he got shelled for 10 hits and 8 runs in 4 innings, taking his 5th loss of the season as his ERA ballooned to near 7.

Before the game got out of hand, and after Brown had allowed his first 4 spot in the first, the Mets offense responded with a 3 run 3rd to close to within 1, but then the wheels fell off for Brown. Mike Carp and Ambi Concepcion had multi hit games for the Mets, while Caleb Stewart (0 for 3, RBI, K, .273), Saloman Manriquez (0 for 3, .235) and Jon Malo (0 for 3, 2 Ks, .188) took 0-fers.

Dylan Owen started today and was...not very good, but not very good was good enough tonight to get his 3rd win. He allowed 10 hits and 4 runs over 6.1 innings, striking out 6. Emary Frederick pitched the final 2.2 innings perfectly with 5 strikeouts for his 2nd save.

JR Voyles got the offense started for the Mets with a 3 run homer in the bottom of the 3rd, for a 3-2 lead, and the Mets never trailed after that. Ruben Tejada's sparked the offense out of the 7 hole in the last 2 days, going 3 for 6 with 2 runs and 2 RBI. Joe Holden (0 for 4, 2 Ks, .259) and Salvador Paniagua (0 for 4, .226) took 0-fers.

Savannah 7, Columbus 4

The Gnats had an offensive extravaganza in the first, emphasis on EXTRA. They batted around in the inning, blasting FIVE homers, 4 solo shots and a 3 run shot, quickly hanging a 7-0 lead on the board. Unfortunately, that would be all they'd score, and Columbus would make things interesting, carving the lead to 3 in the 7th off Brant Rustich. Julio Polanco pitched 2 scoreless innings, though, to pick up his 3rd save. Scott Moviel was the beneficiary of the outpouring, and he was ... cognizant of the situation, navigating 6 innings, allowing 5 hits (including a homer), and 3 runs for his 4th win.

Greg Veloz (2b) 2 for 5, run, HR, RBI, 2 Ks, .253
Michael Parker (lf) 1 for 5, run, HR, RBI, K, .226
Casey Craig (cf) 1 for 3, BB, K, .352
