The BMets scored 6 in the first, and 1 in the second before the rains came yesterday, and good thing too, because when play resumed today, they didn't score. Nick Evans had a big day yesterday, but went 0 for 3 in the game today, ending at 2 for 5. Mike Carp went 0 for 2 with a walk. But the Mets rode the big first inning to victory, with the RockCats scoring 3 meaningless runs in the bottom of the 8th inning. In all, 5 Mets had multi hit games, and only Emmnauel Garcia (0 for 4, K, .209) took an 0-fer. Eude Brito picked up where Jose Sanchez left off, tossing 4 shutout innings in "relief" to pick up his 3rd win of the season.

Bobby Parnell did not have it today, suffering a loss for the first time since May 18th (4 starts). It was a very rough outing, though he did go 5.2 innings, he allowed 10 hits (including a homer) and all 5 runs, Eddie Camacho allowed one of Parnell's IHR to score.
Nick Evans poked his average back over the .300 mark with a 3 for 4, but no one else on the Mets really hit. Jon Malo had a multi hit game, and Mike Carp had a hit and 2 walks, everyone else took 0-fers.

The Gnats offense managed just 8 hits and 2 runs, despite 3 players having multi hit games. Greg Veloz took an 0-fer out of the leadoff spot (0 for 3, run, BB, 2 Ks, .258, SB (22)), and 2 others had no hits, Jordan Abruzzo (0 for 2, RBI, BB, K, .300) and Jacob Elgsti (0 for 4, 2 Ks, .246).
