Every regular had a hit after 2 innings, Nick Evans had 3. That's right, Evans was 3 for 3, 3 runs, 2 2b, RBI after 2 innings. Uh, wow. Binghamton hung a 6 spot in the first, and then decided that wasn't enough, so went out and put up 9 in the second. LMAO. 7 of the 9 regulars had 2 hits, with Emmanuel Garcia and Mike Carp having multi homer games. The BMets have won 23 of 30, and are now at their high water mark of the season, 6 games over .500 at 34-28, in third place in the EL North, 7 games back of Trenton. The Mets had 7 doubles and 5 homers amongst their 17 hits.

Eric Brown 5 IP, 5 H, 4 ER, BB, 5 Ks, 2 HR, 6.83 era, W (3-5) *Note: It's really hard to gauge these types of games for the pitchers who are on the long side of this type of outburst. Brown led 15-1 after 2 innings, it's very likely he was pitching to the score and just letting them hit the ball.

St. Lucie 1,000,000 (14), Clearwater 2
It wasn't quite in the wham, bam manner of the BMets, but the SMets had 3 big innings (6 in the 2nd, 5 in the 6th and 3 in the 8th), en route to a 14-2 thrashing of the Clearwater Threshers (pun unintentional, I promise). 5 Mets had multi hit games, with 2 having 3 hit games. Every regular had a hit for the Mets, who've won 4 of 6.

Scott Moviel had, by far, his finest pro outing in his young career, going a career best 7 innings, allowing just 3 hits and 2 runs (1 earned), picking up his 5th win and lowering his ERA to 5.52. Baby steps for the 20 year old, who over his last 8 starts had allowed 3 runs or less, and has a 4-3 record with a 3.86 era, in 44.1 innings, he's allowed 41 hits, while walking 14 and striking out 28.
While not quite the offensive bonanza of the BMets or SMets, the Gnats did pound out 10 hits and 6 runs. The top 3 in the lineup (Veloz, Craig, Abruzzo), went 8 for 12 with 5 runs and 2 RBI. Joaquin Rodriguez (0 for 2, 2 RBI, K, .243), Carlos Guzman (0 for 3, BB, .190), Tony Maccani (0 for 3, BB, .318) and Matt Bouchard (0 for 4, 3 Ks, .215) all took 0-fers.
